The stretch of Highway 160 between Montgomery and Elk Counties is reopened.
The 38-mile stretch of highway was closed to traffic last Wednesday for the emergency repair of a box culvert bridge. The box culvert is a mile east of K-99 and extends under HWY 160. Part of the culvert was made from wood, and that was damaged in a grass fire.
The project limited traffic on HWY 160 from HWY 75 west of Independence to K-99 at Moline, and no through traffic was allowed in the work zone. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511.
