The Coffeyville Fire Department responds to a residential structure fire in South Coffeyville.

At around 3:15pm Thursday, Coffeyville crews were dispatched to assist with the fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-wide trailer home with heavy fire showing. Coffeyville assisted the South Coffeyville Fire Department with fire suppression efforts for about an hour. Strong winds out of the south contributed to rapid fire growth, creating challenging conditions for crews on scene. Despite that, firefighters were able to contain the fire and limit damage to the structure where it originated.

CFD was then dispatched back into the city to respond to a separate commercial structure fire.
