A Joplin man is seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Riverton.
The crash occurred Sunday evening around 7:30. 31-year-old Zachary Hitchcock was traveling southbound on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Southeast 70th Street just north of US-66 in Riverton. When the car he was following slowed to make a left hand turn, Hitchcock attempted to pass. It was then that the motorcycle collided with the other vehicle.
Hitchcock was taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries. No one in the other vehicle was injured.
