One woman is dead following a single-vehicle accident on a county road in Phillips County.

58-year-old Nancy Vap of Prairie View, Kansas, died Saturday afternoon after her vehicle struck a concrete culvert on a county road about 15 miles east of the City of Norton. Following the initial collision, Vap’s 2022 Subaru Forrester then caught fire. The Kansas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
