A Coffeyville man is the runner-up in a national racing sponsorship contest.

Tyrone Loffer earned second place in JV Thundercat's “The Lineup” contest. While he didn't earn the $10,000 prize won by Jakob Richards from Wisconsin, he did come away with a $1,000 prize.  Winners were selected by the number of votes and points received.

Loffer enjoys racing at the Caney Valley Speedway and says he's been interested in motorsports from an early age. In third was Collin Brown of New York and Kody Welsh of Colorado in fourth.
