Crews respond to a fire at the Pizza Hut in Coffeyville.
Sunday afternoon around 4:20 p.m., the Coffeyville Fire Department responded to a report of smoke and flames visible on the east and south sides of the Pizza Hut on 11th Street. According to the Coffeyville Fire Department, upon arrival, crews found an active fire near the front entrance, along with heavy smoke venting from the eaves of the building. Crews quickly located the fire behind a wall and were able to extinguish it, limiting damage to the structure.
After the fire was out, crews ventilated the building to remove trapped smoke. Dearing, Liberty, Coffeyville Resources, CRMC-EMS, Coffeyville Police and Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power also responded to the incident. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
