A stolen vehicle is recovered and the suspect is in custody following a Miami traffic stop.
The incident occurred just before noon on Thursday, March 26, when a Miami police officer was advised of a traffic alert regarding a stolen vehicle traveling on Main Street in the City of Miami. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as 42-year-old Lonnie Moore of Broken Bow.
An investigation revealed that Moore was driving on a revoked driver's license and the suspect then told officers that he had a pipe on his person. According to police, a search revealed the glass pipe containing residue and a crystal-like substance, a plastic bag containing a similar substance believed to be methamphetamine, and two pills identified as a Schedule IV controlled substance. Moore was also found to be in possession of a stolen check belonging to a deceased person.
Moore was taken into custody and transported to the Ottawa County Jail. He faces charges of Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Stolen Check, and Driving While Revoked.
