Coffeyville City Commission to Meet Tonight

The Coffeyville City Commission will meet tonight with Public Works and a possible special election on the agenda.

Public Works Director Jim Wright will discuss the approval of a contract with J. Graham Construction for 2026 Street Improvements. Those improvements will include projects on Glen Avenue, Velma Drive, as well as Grandview, Ohio, and Parkview Streets for a total of just over $1.4 million. Wright is also expected to request Commission approval for the application of a Kansas Department of Transportation City Connecting Link Improvement Program or C-CLIP grant for $1.5 million for pavement restoration on 11th Street near Gilham Avenue. If approved by KDOT, the city would be required to contribute $338,000 in matching funds.

Commissioners will also discuss the possibility of holding a special election in January regarding the renewal of a .5% 10-year sales tax for Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. The funds raised from the tax would be targeted specifically to EMS and pre-hospital emergency services at CRMC.

Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 in the Commission Room at Coffeyville's City Hall. The public is invited to attend in-person or to view the meeting online via the City's YouTube channel.
