A joint narcotics investigation in Parsons leads to an arrest and the seizure of methamphetamine.
The Parsons Police Department, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Labette County Sheriff’s Office, execute a search warrant Saturday at a home in the 2200 block of Morgan Avenue. Officers detained Anthony Emert without incident as he returned to the residence. During the search, investigators located digital scales, packaging materials and records believed to be tied to drug sales. Authorities say more than three ounces of methamphetamine, is recovered from multiple locations inside the vehicle.
Additional items include drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana residue. Emert was taken to the Labette County Jail with requested charges include distribution of narcotics, possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, trafficking contraband into a correctional facility and no drug tax stamp.
