A garage is destroyed in a structure fire northeast of Fredonia.

According to Wilson County Rural Fire, this morning at around 8:45am, crews were dispatched to a home where a garage attached to a residence was heavily involved in flames, including a connecting hallway.

Firefighters made an aggressive attack and were able to keep the fire from spreading into the main portion of the house. The garage is considered a total loss, but no other damage was reported to the home.
