The Cherryvale Historical Museum will host a special presentation on Saturday about forts in Kansas.
The presentation will be given by Dr. Leo Oliva. Oliva is a professor emeritus of history from Fort Hays State University who specializes in the history of 19th century Kansas. He is the author of the book Soldiers on the Santa Fe Trail and six other books that focus on Kansas Forts. He will cover the history of historic forts such as Riley, Larned, Zarah and Dodge.
Oliva's presentation will begin at 1pm on Saturday at the Cherryvale Historical Museum at 322 East Main Street.
