A Quapaw man is dead after being struck by a car on a county road in Delaware County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol 40-year-old Toby Myers had just exited his car after parking on the side of County Road South 575 just south of Dennis around 1:15 Sunday morning. That was when another vehicle driven by 35-year-old Aaron Miller of Jay approached. Miller failed to negotiate the curve and struck both Myers and his vehicle.

Myers was taken to Integris Grove Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Miller was uninjured.
