A Columbus man is injured in an accident involving a CAT loader.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 59-year-old Rick Martin of Columbus was driving a Caterpillar loader on NE Star Valley Road about 6 miles north of U.S. 400. As he was traveling west, the front bucket of the loader dropped and dug into the roadway.
Martin received a suspected serious injury and was transported to a Springfield hospital for treatment. The loader was owned by the Cherokee County Road and Bridge Department.
