Several grass fires have been reported around southeast Kansas over the last 24 hours.
In Wilson County, crews were paged out around 2:45 a.m. this morning for a grass fire north of Roper.
According to the Wilson County Rural Fire Department, crews put out what they could but due to the extremely rough conditions, but some of the fire had to be left to continue burning. Local fire departments are reminding all to be very careful during the spring burning season.
