While the recent cold snap may have put a damper on some trees and plants, this year's winter wheat crop was unaffected.
According to the latest report from the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, winter wheat condition is rated at 54% either good or excellent, 32% fair, and only 16% poor or very poor.
While there hasn't been a lot of rain recently, topsoil moisture across the state is listed at 47% adequate, while subsoil moisture is 49% adequate.
