Bartlesville Woman Facing Embezzlement Charges

A Bartlesville woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly using church funds for personal expenses.

37-year-old Heather Kingston was charged with embezzlement. According to Bartlesville Police, Kingston is accused of taking more than $21,000 from a local church between 2022 and 2025.  Investigators say the money was used for a variety of personal expenses, including medical and phone bills, insurance, DoorDash, massages and online payments.

BPD says Kingston admitted during a March 13th interview to using the church credit card and giving herself extra money during employee bonus periods. Kingston is scheduled to appear in court April 17th. She has been released on her own recognizance bond.
