Wilson County Commission Hears Report on Lightning Damage

 

The Wilson County Commission hears a report from the Sheriff on recent lightning damage to the Law Enforcement Center.

 

At the most recent commission meeting Wilson County Sheriff Pete Kuhn reported that lightning had caused some damage to the security cameras at the Law Enforcement Center or L-E-C in Fredonia. Kuhn also discussed two quotes for the cleaning of 14 HVAC units at the L-E-C. Commissioners approved the quote from Studebaker Refrigeration in Fredonia for $2,100.

 

In other business, County Coordinator Kris Marple presented grant applications to Kansas Department of Health and Environment on behalf of the Health Department for just over $78,000. Road & Bridge Supervisor Kary Tatum discussed road work on 150 Road. He also presented right-of-way permits for Brightspeed’s fiber project from Fredonia to New Albany.

 

The next Wilson County Commission meeting will be on March 25 at the courthouse in Fredonia.
