The Kansas Department of Revenue Alcoholic Beverage Control Division announces the results of a months long investigation into vape shops selling unauthorized alcoholic beverages.

The investigation began last September following a formal complaint alleging that Kratom Extract liquid products, commonly marketed as “shots," contained alcohol and were being sold without proper licensing. The investigation targeted stores in 10 cities across the state including some in El Dorado, Ark City, and Pittsburg. Following the execution of search warrants and the seizure of products, ABC says criminal charges will be submitted to the respective county attorney’s offices for review and prosecution.
