The Cherryvale City Council is expected to open the bid process for the foundation of a new animal shelter.

On tonight's agenda is the approval to start the bid process for a concrete foundation and slab for a new animal control building and dog run for the city. If the measure is approved, bids will be accepted until noon on April 20^th.

The Council will also hear an update on the zinc smelter site K-D-H-E application at tonight's meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall in Cherryvale.
