Parsons Police Officer Honored by VFW

 

A Parsons Police officer is honored as the 2025 Officer of the Year.

 

The Parsons Police Department has announced that  Detective Sergeant Tony Adamson has been named the 2025 Officer of the Year by Parsons VFW Brown-Bishop Post #704, Adamson has more than 17 years of law enforcement experience, having started his career in 2008 as a Reserve Officer with the Coffeyville Police Department. He first joined the Parsons Police Department in 2012 and has served the Parsons community in a variety of roles. After serving as a Labette County Sheriff's Deputy K-9 officer, Adamson returned to P-P-D in 2022, where he currently serves in the Domestic Violence Unit.

 

Parsons Deputy Police Chief Dennis Dodd praised Adamson's commitment and leadership within the department.

 

The Officer of the Year honor recognizes Adamson's service, leadership, and commitment to the citizens of Parsons and Labette County.
