The Independence Lions Club is holding its annual ham and bean lunch this weekend.
For just a $10 donation, you can get a bowl of ham and beans, cornbread and a variety of desserts. Organizer Andy Taylor says this event is always anticipated by the community.
Taylor says the money raised at the event will go towards community projects.
The ham and bean lunch will be this Saturday, March 14th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wesley Center in Independence at 200 S Penn Avenue.
