The City of Coffeyville assumes daily operations of the Coffeyville Animal Shelter.

CFA Board Director Becky Barnhart says this is a partnership with the City and not a takeover by the City.  When it comes to an online presence, Barnhart says CFA will continue to run their Facebook page, but there will also be a City page for the Shelter as well.

The City will oversee daily shelter operations, staffing and facility management. Coffeyville Friends of Animals will continue serving as the shelter’s nonprofit partner, helping provide donations, toys, medical support and fundraising efforts that directly benefit the animals.
