The Independence City Commission will meet tonight and discuss another round of dangerous and unsafe structures.

The City has made a priority of dealing with such properties over the past year and will hold Public Hearings on nine more structures at tonight's meeting. Commissioners will also consider a request from the Wildcat Extension District to share in the cost of sidewalk replacement on West Myrtle. Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the City's website.
