The Sedan City Council will hold a special meeting this afternoon to discuss the future of the Sedan Police Department.

The City has been considering its options since the resignation of Police Chief Kirk Richardson and one other high ranking member of the department last week. The City Council is examining whether to keep the police department or to disband it and turn over law enforcement activity in the City to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office. Today's meeting begins at 4pm at the Sedan City Hall. The public is invited to attend.
