The South Coffeyville School Board is looking to run a bond for the gym later in the year.
At last night's school board meeting, board members discussed possible dates to run the bond issue. Superintendent Daryl Pruter says he thinks April is too soon, given a bond that the City is planning to run.
Recent bond attempts have failed by just one vote. The plan with this upcoming bond would be to revisit building a new gym that would also include a storm shelter to benefit the entire school and community.
In other business, the board heard the annual independent audit report, which found no issues.
