The USD 445 Board of Education considers the superintendent's recommendation for the bid of almost $2 million for the Community Elementary School roof project.

The bid for the project came from Wray Roofing, who has worked on other projects for the district. Project Manager Craig Helser says CES is the biggest elementary school in Kansas at a 140,600 square feet.

The board voted to accept the bid from Wray Roofing for $1,998,985 for the project. In other business, the board approved the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year and published the amended budget for 2025-2026.
