The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating a weekend shooting in Humboldt.

 

According to the Allen County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred Sunday evening, March 8, in the 1000 block of Sycamore Street. The suspect was identified at the time of the shooting but then fled the scene. Law enforcement was able to locate the suspect and take the individual into custody. The suspect was then taken to the Allen County Jail in Iola.

 

The victim of the shooting was transported to Allen County Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
