The Montgomery County Commission will meet today and discuss several requests from the Public Works Department.

 

Director of Public Works Brandon Beurskins will be on hand to discuss bids for several pieces of heavy equipment as well as to discuss chip sealing and the speed limit on South Buckeye Street in Coffeyville.

 

County Emergency Management Director Rick Whitson will appear before the commission to discuss the adoption of the Local Emergency Operations Plan. Commissioners will also hear quarterly reports from Director of Facilities Maintenance Jeff Phelps, County Appraiser Melody Kikkert, and Director of Public Health Jason Niemier.

 

Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
