The Coffeyville Aviation Heritage Museum is presenting an event for history lovers this weekend.
Bill Nicks will portray Aviation Pioneer Octave Chanute this Sunday at 1 p.m. Organizer Bill Jones says Nicks has made several popular appearances at the museum before. Jones says Chanute had a big local impact on the area.
Chuck McFate with the Daylight Defenders Lions Club says they'll start serving hot dogs before the event around 11:30.
Recent changes include a new indoor mural depicting Coffeyville's contribution to early aviation. The museum is located across from the swimming pool at Pfister Park in Coffeyville. The event is free to attend.
