A recent traffic stop in Independence leads the the arrest of three people on drug charges.
The incident occurred on Friday, February 27th, when an Independence Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of East Main Street. After an investigation, the officer arrested the driver and two passengers in the vehicle.
19-year-old Kedan Johnson faces charges of DUI, max speeds, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of tobacco by a person under the age of 21. 18-year-old Jakdyn Mossallah and 20-year-old Jacob Sheppard-Rubio were both arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
