Coffeyville Receives KDOT Traffic Safety Grant

 

The City of Coffeyville receives a grant to help improve traffic safety in the city from the Kansas Department of Transportation.

 

Coffeyville has been awarded a $65,000 Traffic Safety Grant from KDOT through the Department's High Risk Urban Roads program. The programs is a safety initiative aimed at installing low-cost improvements, such as enhanced signage and pavement markings, at stop-controlled intersections on local urban roads. The program targets high-risk intersections in urban areas to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians. The City will use the funds to improve signage and pavement markings at 10 intersections across the City.

 

These improvements will help increase visibility, improve traffic flow, and increase safety for drivers and pedestrians alike.
