The Altamont City Council approves funding to repair leaks in the city swimming pool.
At the council’s most recent meeting, members were asked to approve just over $14,000 to Mid-Continental Restoration Company of Fort Scott to make the repairs. The leaks came to the attention of the City last summer and Council Member Lyle Sykes says even this is a temporary solution to a larger problem.
Sykes says the City may be forced to look at other options in the short term.
The Council approved the funds on a unanimous vote.
In other business, the council also discussed the need to select a pre-construction engineer for the KDOT Sidewalk Project. A work session was set for March 26 to make the selection.
