The City of Independence invites residents to join in the discussion on The Community-Based Strategic Plan on setting priorities for the future of the City.

 

There will be several opportunities to attend in-person meetings to help city leaders understand what Independence residents want the city to focus on for the next 5 to 10 years. Feedback from these sessions will help in the design of community programs, services, and long-range strategies to help determine the direction of the community in the future. City Manager Kelly Passauer says there are two public sessions happening this week.

 

The second session will begin around 9am in the upstairs lobby at Memorial Hall.There will also be a session for seniors on Thursday morning at 8am in the Veterans Room on the lower level of Memorial Hall. Passauer says there will be a Thursday evening session as well.

 

The City also invites residents to complete a short, anonymous survey. The survey is available online through March 31st.
