A Miami man is in police custody following reports of an incident involving a hand gun at the Miami Splash Pad Park.

 

Ottawa County Central Dispatch received a call around 9:30 on Friday evening reporting an altercation in that area involving five juveniles and a sixth man. The caller, who was one of the juvenile victims told police that a man had pointed a gun at them and then fled the scene.

 

Police then located the suspect several blocks away and identified him as 18-year-old Conner Fitzgerald.

 Fitzgerald was arrested without incident and a fire arm was recovered from his person at that time. The case has been forwarded to the Ottawa County District Attorney’s Office for review and potential prosecution.
