A Parsons man is arrested following a report of harassment and violation of a court-order.
Officers responded to a report involving Anthony Hon. According to police, earlier that morning Hon, who had recently been released from the Labette County Jail, began contacting a female victim by phone and text message. The victim reported that Hon said he was out of jail and intended to come to her residence. She had applied for a Protection from Abuse order the previous day and told officers she feared for her safety due to prior threats and continued contact. Police coordinated with Court Services and confirmed that Hon was prohibited from contacting the victim as a condition of his probation.
Officers established protective surveillance near the victim’s residence while searching for Hon. Officers located him in the 1500 block of Clark Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Labette County Jail on allegations of violating probation conditions and unlawful contact.
