Housing issues take center stage at tonight's meeting of the Independence City Commission.
On tonight's agenda are public hearings on 13 properties deemed dangerous and unsafe, including the Girl Scout house on Park Boulevard. Commissioners will also consider and agreement with See-Kan Development and 3-D Homes Inc, to build a 3-D printed home at 401 North 10th Street.
Commissioners will also consider prohibiting parking on the south side of Oak Street between 10th and 21st Streets as well as an amendment to an ordinance on City Code to allow for basement water meter installation.
Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the City's website.
