Nowata County Commissioners continue their discussion of emergency radio by county first responders.

 

At issue is the use of radios in areas of the county where the signal is weak. Nowata County Undersheriff Doug Sonenburg says it's become an issue of safety.

 

In other business, the board also awarded rock bids and approved an agreement for work on private property in district two.

 

The commissioners tabled items regarding the county's drug and alcohol testing policy and a resolution for road and bridge funding priorities.

 

The Nowata County Commissioners meet every Monday morning at 9am at the Nowata County Annex.
