Wilson County Rural Fire work to contain a grass fire along Highway 400.

Crews were dispatched to a pasture fire in the area. Due to rough terrain and conditions within the pasture, firefighters conducted back burns along the outer edges to help contain the spread. Authorities say the fire will continue to burn as crews monitor the situation.

Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Fredonia and Neodesha Fire Departments.
