The Wilson County Commission hears an update on Road & Bridge projects and approves a travel request for the Health Department.
At the commission's most recent meeting, County Road & Bridge Supervisor Kary Tatum discussed a patching project on 410 Road. Tatum also recommended the submission of a bridge at 2000 and Wichita Road and another at 410 and Udall Road for funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation. Commissioners approved the submission.
In other business, Wilson County Health Department Administrator Amy Lell requested $1,200 to allow her and another individual to attend the Governor's Public Health Conference to be held at the end of March in Wichita. Her request was approved. Additionally, Dr. Jennifer McKenney reported on the Federal Rural Health Transformation Program in which Kansas will receive $221M over the next three years for new rural healthcare services.
The next meeting of the Wilson County Commission will be tomorrow at 9am in the courthouse in Fredonia. The meeting if open to the public.
