The public is invited to attend the Youth Entrepreneur Challenge Trade Show tomorrow in Independence.

 

Students in grades 7 through 12 from area schools will participate and showcase their business ideas. Coffeyville Area Chamber President Candi Westbrook says participants will receive mentoring from local professionals to create a sales pitch for their existing business or business concept.
 

Westbrook says student booths will be judged by local business leaders who will then determine prizes based on presentation and executive summaries.

 

The public is then invited to view student booths at the trade show tomorrow from 9am to 1pm at the Civic Center in Independence. The goal of the event is to encourage young people in their personal development through starting and managing their own business.
