One man is dead following an accident in a grain bin in Harvey County.

The accident occurred Saturday afternoon just south of the City of Newton around 2:30 as three men were working to empty soybeans into a grain bin. The contents of the bin shifted suddenly, trapping one of the workers. Emergency crews from Sedgwick County Rural Fire responded to the call, but the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other workers were able to escape uninjured.

The death has been ruled an accident.
