Police in Pawhuska arrest a fugitive from Florida after a tip suggests the suspect was in the City.
On Friday morning, Pawhuska Police received a tip from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in Florida that a wanted fugitive was possibly hiding out in Oklahoma. Police then located 26-year-old Dakya Cedric Dashawn Kirby and arrested him on two outstanding warrants. Kirby faces charges in Florida of Sexual Assault and Battery of a person less than 12 years old and Cruelty Toward a Child.
Kirby was booked into the Osage County Jail in Pawhuska where he awaits extradition to Florida.
