No Homes Lost in Rattlesnake Road Fire

 

No homes are lost in the Rattlesnake Road Fire as crews continue monitoring for remaining hot spots.

 

According to Washington County Emergency Management, the wildfire remains contained. Firefighters from 16 different agencies responded, including task forces from Tulsa and Pawnee Counties, along with air and ground support from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Oklahoma Forestry Service. Crews worked in difficult terrain and challenging weather conditions to bring the fire under control.

 

Law enforcement agencies, including the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Cherokee Nation Marshal’s Service, assisted with traffic control and evacuations. The American Red Cross also provided shelter and meals for evacuees and first responders. Officials expressed appreciation for the coordinated response and the efforts of all agencies involved.
