Wichita Police Seek Ice Cream Thief

 

Wichita Police are looking for an ice cream thief who caused significant damage to a local business.

 

Authorities say the lone male suspect shattered the glass front door of the Braums location at Seneca and Douglas around 3am on the morning of Sunday, February 15th. The man took four steaks valued at $30 each and a quart of ice cream before quickly leaving the scene. The stolen merchandise was valued at around $150 dollars , but the smashed glass door will cost thousands of dollars to replace.

 

The thief was caught on video camera and was inside the store for only a few minutes. The suspect is described as a white male of medium build. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants, and light colored Adidas shoes. He was wearing a mask with distinct blue lettering and carrying a blue Adidas backpack.

 

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111. There is a cash reward of up to $2,500.
