The City of Caney continues to make progress on connecting its water system to Coffeyville.

 

At this week's Caney City Council meeting, council members approved the signatures for letters that will be sent to property owners for easements for the project. City Clerk Adam Lanter says those individuals should soon be receiving a letter from the City.

 

Lanter says actual construction on the project should happen sometime this year.

 

In other business, council members also voted to expand the C-D-B-G Housing Revitalization zone and tabled a proposal to purchase a pickup truck for the fire department.
