A Franklin man is under arrest in southeast Kansas following the service of a search warrant by the Kansas Highway Patrol.

 

46-year-old Chad Sweezy was arrested late last week after K-H-P troopers and deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff's Office searched his property as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged stolen property. Investigators seized thousands of dollars worth of previously reported stolen property, suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and suspected unlawful suppressors and fully-automatic firearms.

 

Sweezy was taken to the Crawford County Jail where he awaits formal charging.
