The public is invited to attend the Youth Entrepreneur Challenge Trade Show coming up later this month in Independence.
Students in grades 7 through 12 from area schools will participate and showcase their business ideas. Participants will receive mentoring from local professionals to create a sales pitch for their existing business or business concept. Their booths will then be judged by local business leaders who will then determine prizes based on presentation and executive summaries.
The public is then invited to view student booths at the trade show on Tuesday, February 24, from 9am to 1pm at the Civic Center in Independence. The goal of the event is to encourage young people in their personal development through starting and managing their own business.
