The Kansas Department of Transportation is starting survey work on US-169 near Iola today.
The purpose of the field survey is to gather information necessary for proposed pavement rehabilitation south of U.S. 54 in Allen County. The survey of U.S. 169 will start at northwest Minnesota Road and continue north 2.5 miles, ending at the Nevada Road overpass south of U.S. 54.
KDOT workers will be in the area starting today to determine locations of existing features within the corridor.
The survey is expected to be complete by late March.
