The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks are holding spring hunter education classes across the state.
A Kansas Hunter Education course teaches essential safety, ethics, and responsibility, focusing on firearm handling, conservation, and state regulations to create knowledgeable hunters. Participants learn safe hunting methods, wildlife identification, and often engage in practical, hands-on training, such as live firing or field simulations. The traditional hunter education course is organized and conducted by volunteer instructors across the state and are usually two days long.
Upcoming classes will occur on March 13 & 14 in Toronto at the Lone Pine Hunting Preserve. There will also be in-person classes on March 6th in Augusta, March 14th in Clearwater, and March 27 in Wichita.
