A Bartlesville man is arrested in DUI charges after hitting a school bus Thursday afternoon.

 

Bartlesville Police say 46-year-old Matthew Dwayne Fields was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he collided with a school bus on Silver Lake Road around 3:30pm. According to accident reports, Fields was driving a pick up truck when he went left of center and struck the bus on the front driver's side.

 

There were students on the bus when the accident occurred, but there were no injuries. Fields was taken to Jane Phillips Medical Center for medical clearance and was then taken into custody.

 

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
